The last class before Christmas for the Pre-School students is Thursday, December 18. Pre-School classes resume on Tuesday, January 6 at regular times.
The last class before Christmas for the Pre-Kindergarten students is Wednesday, December 17. No class on Friday, December 19. Pre-Kindergarten classes resume again on Wednesday, January 7 at regular times.

There will be NO Sunday School on December 28 at St. Paul Lutheran Church and School.

December tuition is now due. November lunch bills were sent home last week. Thank you to all who have already paid. If you have not yet made your payment this month, please do so by this Friday, December 12.

All library check-outs will be due Monday, December 15. Because of the long Christmas holiday all library books, DVDs, videos and magazines are to be returned by Monday, December 15 and there will be no new check-outs until after Christmas vacation.

Please be sure your child leaves for school with the proper clothing to match the weather. With colder weather in the air, hats, gloves and warm coats will be needed when going outside for recess. Proper clothes will keep them warm while they fill their lungs with fresh air which will enable them to study better the rest of the day.

SCHOOL CLOSING INFORMATION - If school will be closed early or canceled for the day due to inclement weather the announcement will be made over station KWBE (AM 1450 on the dial). Announcements are made at least every 15 minutes on mornings when weather conditions require it. We follow the Beatrice Public School’s initiative and ruling in most cases of inclement weather.

Beacon of Light to Illuminate Living Nativity Event

“Drawn to the Light” will be held Thursday and Friday, December 11 and 12
from 6:00 - 9:00 PM at Holy Savior Lutheran Church
North 10th and Superior Streets, Lincoln, Nebraska

A beaming search light will light the night sky Thursday and Friday, December 11 and 12 to help visitors be “Drawn to the Light”. This living nativity event will be held at Holy Savior Lutheran Church at North 10th and Superior Streets from 6:00 - 9:00 PM.

All are invited to enjoy this special Christmas message. A living nativity will be seen from Superior Street featuring a full cast of characters from the Christmas story including an angel from heaven, the three wise men, and shepherds with their sheep.

Inside, the church will be transformed into Biblical times where everyone can enjoy a Bethlehem marketplace, look for a room at the inn, and participate in the Roman census.

In the warm indoors, visitors can also receive a commemorative family portrait, listen to live Christmas music, and enjoy listening to the Christmas story being read in front of a warm fireplace while sipping hot cocoa and tasting homemade cookies.

Admission is free. A freewill offering will benefit Cedars for Kids and Friendship Home, and donations will be matched by Thrivent Financial Services.
